How does translating a technical manual with layout (DTP) work?

Website localization is more than translation: content is exported, translated with a project glossary, reviewed, then laid out and QA-checked in the live design.

Typical process

1. Export the site copy (or provide CMS access / files).
2. Translation per the published per-1,000-character rates for your language pair, with glossary and independent review.
3. Layout/DTP where needed — complex layouts (brochures, catalogs, manuals with figures) are quoted separately, typically ¥50–200 per page; OCR is available for scanned sources.
4. QA pass on the staged pages before go-live.
